-Lives away from Winterhearth, but everyone still considers him as a part of it
-Sometimes finds dragons who are about to freeze to death, and delivers them to the village
-A rather large boy, even for a ridgeback (ignore his randomly generated "length" and "wingspan")
-No one outside his family ever hears him speak
-Gets regular visits from Starblade, who updates him on the happenings in the village.
-Sometimes Whiss makes a surprise visit. He'll ramble about any and everything while Vandergast listens, appreciating the company

-Has a strong affinity for ice. So much so that the Icewarden himself appeared before Vandergast to give him glowing eyes, proficiency in ice magic, and a breath attack that can instantly freeze almost anything
-Uses that ice breath on himself to stay chilly in warmer climates
-Buries his whole body in the snow when he sleeps, and enjoys walking through blizzards
-Has a habit of standing still and watching the world around him. Usually, he ends up encased in a layer of ice, but he simply breaks it off by moving again


Imagine though; getting lost in a snowstorm at night, then all of a sudden, two glowing eyes appear in the dark haze. And when the silhouette gets a little clearer, you realize that those eyes belong to a massive creature that shakes the ground when it walks, and it is now coming towards you.
