Many years ago, a beautiful seamstress took ill. No medicines or magics could heal her ailment, and soon she passed. Her mate grieved and mourned her loss, and even after months had passed, his love for her burned deeply.

One night, there was a rapping upon the door of his home, and there stood his lover. She was as beautiful as the day they met. He allowed her into his home, though the dark magic that had resurrected her ate away at her mate's life in turn, and he fell ill.

Though his family screamed in horror upon seeing the corpse that was once beautiful Pearlcatcher, he did not see it for himself. Priests and the masters of arcane warned him, though he did not heed them.

Soon, his body was discovered just as rotted and degraded as her own, though she was nowhere to be found.
Some say she still wanders from clan to clan, trying to find her lover, in denial that he had passed on from her own doing. Those who love her can only see her beauty, though the priest Amon sees differently in her. He sees only a skeleton.
