I've heard a story. A tale of dreamless dragons who raise from their graves. I was born dreamless. Me and my sister, Star. There were some complications in our creation and although we turned out fine, there was debate for a time about just how normal we would be. The healers predicted us to be still born. You should have seen the look of pure joy and hope on our mother's face when we hatched on time, healthy and happy. It wasn't long after that, however when I started getting blank dreams. I told my mother, as any eager dragonet would, and her concern was immense. It wasn't long before Star started saying the same thing, and Drako, my father, began worrying. He started searching for a cure to a disease he was sure we had. A dreamless dragon is like a dead dragon that is still alive. It means that my will wasn't mine, and neither was Star's. Lucien, the oldest of the three of us (Lucien, me, and Star), had no symptoms and saw no reason to worry. No one listened to him. In the end, however, it was my four day old brother who was right. Days passed and the clan continued to hold their breath. On the thirteenth day, I received a dream; coincidentally the same dream as Star. The clan finally breathed and Lucien just smiled. In the nights that followed, Star and I found that we could appear inside dreams; though the dreams were never our own. After consulting any dragon we could, Star and I realized that the dreams we were having and vividly remembering, were not our own. The official name for Star and I was the "Dream Readers." Lucien joined the Tidelord and soon helped us uncover traces of other Dream Readers, though they were extremely rare and had never been seen in a family lineage before Star and I.
