Nightglow came from a respected tribe in the Arcanist's land, one with a long history and a claim to land in the Star Wood Strand. Space, however, was a premium and she felt that it was finally time to leave and explore other lands.

Although she herself had been born in the Shadowlands, she previously lived in The Scarred Wasteland and had mated there with a plague dragon. However, her first mate, Zhyr, had long ago left to serve the Plaguebringer. Their eldest daughter was living in Earth's territory, while their other daughter together was being treated very well in the Sunbeam Ruins.

After their first nest together, Nightglow turned to Bloodthirst, a Plague First Gen Mirror. He had split from his first mate and proved irresistible to Nightglow. They had two nests together - although their first born Cinder was living with a Water clan, SilverShine chose to serve the Arcanist. Their other sibling from that nesting had departed as soon as he reached adulthood to join the Arcanist, not even waiting for his clan to give him a proper name. He said he'd wait to earn a name in the ranks of the exalted. The entirety of Bloodthirst's and Nightglow's next nest made the same decision - rushing to join their siblings in the Arcanist's lands and waiting to be named until they got there. Their entire clan, in fact, chose to move to the Starfall Isles and learn more about Arcane flight and magic.

After a very long time together, Nightglow expressed interested in exploring other lands of Sornieth. Bloodthirst refused to leave his clan, so she opted to go off on her own. Nanners discovered her on one of his recruitment missions, looking for Elder dragons to join an ice clan in the south. She listened to his offer, but declined the join the council he was creating. However, his clan did intrigue her and she agreed to journey with him there. Upon arrival, she found a bustling community of Fae and a growing tribe where she could be useful. Nightglow found a spot she liked and began making her own permanent den.

Nightglow uses her extra sensitivity to magic to enchant items for the clan. She oversees magical transmutations to ensure nothing goes awry. She also helps enchant (ward) the clan's boundaries.
