Tropico has been living in and around Frosthaven for much longer than anyone else, actually openly admitting that he's not a strictly mortal being to anyone that asks and says that, as far as he knows, as long as the Leviathan, Zale, is alive, he will be too. He is able to spend hours in snow storms and underneath icy waters, allowing him to deal with Zale whenever something has sent her into a dangerous rage; the only way he is able to survive this is he is invisible and has no scent, making it easy for him to evade the giant monster when leading her away from shore. He is also a very powerful mage, able to use this to drag Zale back to the ocean when she gets near Frosthaven's castle.

On top of everything else, he serves as a search and rescue ranger as the dimension's Frosthaven entrance, found in Wind territory, is nowhere near the actual castle, causing anyone that finds their way in to get lost. This is especially dangerous in the winter months, due to the unforgiving cold.

He is a fairly friendly individual, though many think he's mute because of how little he talks; when he does talk, however, he has two voices, one echoing under the other occasionally, which may be the reason he doesn't talk much.

He doesn't spend much time inside the castle, preferring to stay outside to keep watch; he really only stays inside when it starts to hail or if the winds outside get too strong. When this happens, he normally sleeps in the first floor's living room, warming up next to the fire.
