candle_mini_pixel_by_gasara-d5p3lty.gifxxA quiet spirit that mostly keeps to herself, it is unusual to find indications of Heartache's presence. She has been known, however, to comfort the melancholic. Her unique ability to conjure feelings of nostalgia is sometimes linked to olfactory hallucinations, particularly scents of musk or sweetness. If any are ever moved to tears at the Chateau, she will come to comfort them.
xxShe is gentle, careful, and resilient despite the grand disappointments she has experienced in her physical life. Losing in love has made her very sad, but also very wise. Despite how reluctant she might be to trust, it is easy and natural for her to become close to others. It is for this reason that she practices stoicism, and tries to keep to herself as much as possible. She is not fond of her tendency to rely on others for emotional support, so she has come to resent dependency and even cooperation.

xxLimiting her social interaction, she spends much of her time writing poetry and playing music. She uses these artistic tools to express her sentimentality. Other spirits at the Chateau will sometimes relax nearby when she is playing, so that they might hear her beautiful music without being seen.
xxFrequently misunderstood, the friends Heartache has are insistent on integrating her with the rest of the Chateau. She limits her interactions with all but these very persistent souls, who are affable to a fault. Arcadia and Afterglow, in particular, adore her. She has been invited by Brighid to participate in rites honouring the Lightweaver, but she has so far strayed from all large gatherings at the Chateau, even religious ceremonies. squarecandleright.png
