Biography

Aether - 12/3/23
For now, she's just a teleporting Trickster!

Caretaker for the Trickster’s nests as well as their- as they put- “ambassador”
Specializes in training those with powers from their eyes

Ever since the Bounty of Elements, many dragons have been born with new types eyes other than the usual common like their ancestors. As these new dragons begin their early lives, some find that their powers need a little help controlling or figuring out how to activate. That's where Enid comes in. Enid is the newest Caretaker on the block helping to raise hatchlings and training them to activate and control their powers. Enid is third dragon in the clan to have different colored eyes and as such she has become a great teacher for those recieving new powers as she has had to work out all the kinks by herself.

Enid does not have an easy job, testing the powers of young dragons can have some serious consequences like tangling up have of the tree houses in thick spiky vines all the way to them playing pranks with exploding mushrooms. Though Enid is used to all sorts of crazy shenanigins as she is still part of the Trickster group (it's a complicated relationship between Caretakers and Tricksters) which she now uses whenever she is called upon to care for hatchlings with different eye types.

Enid has the power to teleport small distances replacing her body with tiny logs which helps her when her hatchlings' powers start malfunctioning. Whether they get blasted into the air, blow up a log, or tying her up in vines Enid's powers have a great handle on keeping up with these dragons starting out. Though sometimes Enid decides to take on an assistant for field trips through the woods. During this time, she calls on Raven, a Forest Ranger (again another group that has awkward relations with the Tricksters), to assist her in keeping an eye on these youngn's as Enid does some group exercises. Occasionally, Enid does have students who feel overconfident in their powers or that they don't need to stick around and try to slip away. When Raven's around, she takes the kids to her training course nearby in the woods and has competitions to see who can hit the targets or win at hide and go seek which usually gets the kids interested. Though this isn't to say Enid ain't interesting, she is quite fun loving since you kind have to be in order to be take care of hatchlings and be a trickster. When Raven isn't around, Enid plays with the hatchlings and teaches them how to use knock down piñatas. It's quite the motivational exercise because what hatchling doesn't want to destroy something for candy.

Enid has gotten carried away many times in her Trickster days with her familiar the Marshland Poodle mith. Since this familiar looks near exactly like her, she and her familiar have held decoy plans where one might lead the forest rangers away while the other goes off and plays Trickster. Enid loves to have her Mith hide out in the woods where she'll teleport away while her poodle mith will make the other dragons keep up the chase then usually heading back to prank or swipe something from another dragon. In caretaking, Enid will be able to watch the kids while her poodle mith grabs snacks from the Tavern, usually a swoop and go to make Taverners think its an actual Tundra. If Enid ever needs to protect the eggs, she and her poodle mith use similar decoy trick with fake Trickster eggs to move them to a safe location. Same works with actually hatchlings, Enid simple tells the kids they are doing piggybacks and her and her familiar get back to tricking enemies. If ever caught, this Mith will use its staff to attack with the elemental powers in its staff. Never bring fists to a magic wand fight.

In her free time, Enid loves to sneak aaround, poofing in and out of dragon's houses stealing pies and other sweets as well as decorative papers to make her own pinatas to train her hatchling students, well or fill it with bees to prank the older dragons. Her mith loves to help as well, using its powers and small hands to help weave and glue the whole pinata together. On occasion, the mith will as take a bite of some candies which hatchlings find peculiar after they bash it open. Well half a lollipop is better than no lollipop.
