Pele

As beautiful as Pele is, she's a bit of a clumsy dragon. As a hatchling she was always getting into unintentional trouble, rescued only by the graces of her Arcanist, but one day was a bit more unlucky than others. As Pele was lounging by a few lava pools in the Ashfall Waste a rather unpleasant dragon snuck up behind and pushed her in! Naturally she thought she might burn, her wings were nothing but feather after all, but to her surprise a great barrier of her own magical will encased her. Stumbling and blubbering, Pele managed to crawl her way out with the help of the arcane magic she'd summoned in her panic, but she was badly scarred by the splashing that occurred when the magic began to die. This scarring left a fantastically bright streak of lava running throughout her fur and feathers, crackling along her hide like a river of fire. Naturally she accepts it now as a beauty mark, and will even strut around the clan in an attempt to show it off. It does sting every now and again, though, and that is rather annoying.
