Erebos

Anyone who meets Erebos will agree that he's not your everyday Pearlcatcher. Surprisingly shy and easy to embarass he has a noble heart and a deep love for nature. A pacifist and idealist, he believes (and says) there's always a solution for everything and that anything happens for a reason. Sensitive and somewhat anxious he can sometimes be lazy and may tend to take things easy.

Role: Erebos is an advanced shapeshifter and can turn into a wide array of creatures including serthis and centaur, and has become Velasko's personal mentor. Though he generally keeps to himself and interacts very little with other dragons he is quite well versed in nature knowledge and magic, and part of the Elders, dragons can go to him if they have any questions or seek advice about it.

Backstory: Born in a small clan in the Behemonth, Erebos was believed to be cursed upon hatching as he could change forms into small familiars simply by spending some time with them. With his misunderstood ability he was shunned by the rest of the clan and kept locked and isolated. When he was still a teen enemy clans invaded and took over their land, destroying everything and driving the inhabitants out. Erebos took the chance to escape his abusive clan and fled south to the Tangled woods where he was taken in by a charismatic circus-like pack of dragons who slowly became his adoptive family. During the years to come he came to discover his strange power was not judged and hated by all but rather seen as fascinating, fun and even a blessing going against everything he had been told when young. Feeling more comfortable and opening up little by little it’s here where he met and peculiar Skydancer called Amanda whom he eventually married and had many children with. Nowadays they travel together as nomads all around Sornieth, but seem to have stopped by at clan Braedion driven by the hatch of a new shapeshifting prodigy…

-Suffers from Claustrophobia.

-His pearl is rather small for a dragon his age, he says this is mostly because he only saves those memories that bring him true happiness.

-Erebos and Amanda have an agreement/promise in that "when he dies she’ll bring him back".

-His birdskull was made by himself but Amanda infused a strong protection spell on it.

-He is Janessa’s adoptive father.

-He better gets along with Erika whom he quickly warmed up to and has also earned her Nature sprite's trust.

-Constantly suffers from nightmares and certain depressive relapses about how he sees himself.
