One's name should be chosen carefully; although sentient creatures choose their path, their introspective quest will lead them sooner or later to question their name; seeping through a magically attuned being such as a dragon, a name can become powerful.
Power. Sought by many but obtained by few. A lot of dragons think power is strenght, others, less common, are more inclined to preach that "knowledge is power". When and how can a dragon exhude power then ? Is it a regalian aura ? A scholarly way of talking ? Rippling muscles ? It is up to each dragon to find what they think is power.
Born in the Cloudscrape Crags, Sandalphon had a harsh childhood punctuated by episodes of famine and inhospitable weather, but such is the Southern Icefield, even to its own denizens. Jaded by the constant deaths of his clan, they developped a sore mentality of violence being normal. When they fled with the remainder of his clan (which was barely a handful of dragons), they got separated from them when they went a bit too close to the Twisting Crescendo.
The imperial ended up being caught in a jet stream on the way to the Starfall Isles. If it weren't for Vendavel's helpful knowledge and them crossing path, they would still be in the stream Arcanist-knows-where. Resting and for the first time in ages, eating until their stomach didn't growl, they met Mikael. The coatl's resolution to be an honorable protector, along with an almost fatherly aura, rekindled a flame of kindness in Sandalphon's heart. Maybe power is not always in strenght...
