Biography
Lore :: The Frostbiters is the name given to the dragons that dwell deep in the blizzard infested forests of The Southern Icefield. These dragons are tough and cold immune, their bodies permanently turning dark as a result of constant frostbite assaulting their fur and skin, their snowy surrounds have even begun to decorate them, turning parts of their bodies to ice. Royal Frostbiters (Mostly Skydancers and Imperials) are elegant and civilised, and are often in charge of magic and healing, while the bottom class, (Often Wildclaws and Spirals), are hunters and scavengers. They live in dark caves in the deepest parts of the forests, free from pelting snow. Not much is known about them; the scientists that travel through blistering blizzards and the most chilling of snow are often ill-prepared and never make it back, so the knowledge they hold never reaches civilisation. Because of this, The Frostbiters' have been made out to be savages, however that is far from the case; as the Royal Frostbiters are always more than happy to tell their tales, and even rarely, some have helped escort the travelers back. |
Extra :: The Frostbiters are mainly physical fighters, choosing to battle tooth and claw. However, Frostbiters imbued with Runes are the ones chosen to handle magic, healing and spells, as the patterns are presumed to be a strong source of magic. These are more commonly seen on the aforementioned Skydancers and Imperials. Wildclaws and Spirals often hunt together, the strong, sensitive eyes of Spirals can spot enemies and prey more easily in harsh snow storms, while Wildclaws listen to their commands and pick them off. Dens and caves of Frostbiters are often cozy and well decorated, illuminated by warm flames. Stunning line patterns are carved out in the stone walls by spirals making their sleeping spaces, exposing beautiful gems and crystals in the process. The Wildclaws elect themselves to decorate the main space of the caves in paintings and hanging ornaments and silks on the roof. Clans of Frostbiters don’t move from their home much, besides when the spiral’s burrowing has become too much for the cave. Frostbiters favour any Peryton familiars due to their looks, as well as any familiars built for the cold. Any Frostbiter that has earnt the loyalty of a Rosy Peryton is treated highly. They like to dress in elegant apparel, their favourites are silks. |
