ICE FLIGHT Fractal Glacier - Glacial Hunter

Fractal Glacier dragons are hunters who dive and prowl in the coldest of waters and around the Frigid Floes for prey. Through many generations, many have developed a variety of colors in order to blend in better with their surroundings, as well as helping them blend in at different times of days.


Lore, Physical Attributes, & Hunting Tactics ::

Glacial Hunters are Fractal Glaciers that have developed the ability to hunt only on the surface. Glacial Hunters with fur have thicker fur than any other variation of Fractal Glaciers, simply because they don’t spend much time, if any, in the water, and need something to shield them from the cold winds of the Southern Icefields. Scaled Glacial Hunters have a special waxy coating on their scales to still make them waterproof, though it’s not as efficient as other Glaciers. Any Glacial Hunter is known to be far slimmer and have more powerful legs and wings than any other Glacier.

Glacial hunters specify in hunting land and airborne creatures. With their specially-adapted wings and legs, they can usually fly faster and run faster than many other predators in the area, making it quite difficult to compete against a Glacial Hunter. This does not, however, stop some from having quite the taste for seafood, and they have developed methods to hunt for fish using their longer-than-normal tails as bait. It isn’t rare to see a coatl Glacial Hunter sitting by the edge of an iceberg with its tail submerged in the water.

Social ::

Glacial Hunters are more solitary hunters and have not been seen to gather together to take down prey. Breeding season is the only time Glacial Hunters have been seen to interact. They are very introverted in nature and take a long while to get used to other dragons. However, once they mate, they mate for life, which is why sometimes one may catch a glimpse of a pair hunting together.

Lairs ::

Glacial Hunters live in caves and dens they either excavated themselves or unearthed. Their lairs are very small, considering they are solitary in nature and only really need it for a place to rest.
