Biography
Quote:
Melia is a quiet sort, not unlike her father. Her colors are dark and rich like the soil of the rainforest in which she plays. Animals draw near to her aura, sensing her great gentleness and love for the things of nature. She truly is a child of the Gladekeeper.
Now a young dragon, Melia has taken up potion making, selling and bartering her wares in her small corner of the Viridian Labyrinth.
"Would you care for some coffee?" she asks, already transferring what looks like soil into a funnel-pot-like contraption you've never seen before. Is this another of her potions? Maybe you'd better not.
Your silence in indecision prompts her to glance back at you, a smile forming upon her maw. "Coffee is an invention of the centaurs. A little bitter, but helps with focus. The centaurs are quite nice once you get to know them," she explains, pouring water over the soil. Breathing deeply, she puffs a flame under the pot and makes her way over to you.
"So what can I help you with?" she asks. Her eyes are a brilliant green, deep with kindness. You explain your ailments: insomnia, lack of appetite, shivers... she knows just the thing. Without a word she trails her claw along the dried plants hanging from a line tied to two trees and strips several of their blooms, gathering them into a glass bottle as she does. Within a moment she has procured some sort of potion for you and is placing it directly into your hand.
"Take this every night before bed," she tells you, "and return here if your symptoms continue." She chuckles to herself. "They make me say that. You'll be fine, I promise."
Not sure who "they" are, you thank her anyway. She refuses payment despite your willingness to part with your treasure. That night, you gulp down a portion of the concoction, and are surprised at its sweetness -- and its effectiveness. Melia, huh... maybe you'll visit again, if only just to try that coffee she had offered.
