Biography
Quote:
Unathi, like a typical mirror, is voracious. She hunts constantly, but she is also fond of scrapping, which is why Moonsabre frequently sends her and Ratnam out as scouts, hunters, and fighters for the clan. The two Mirrors have a grudging attachment to the clan that took them in and cared for them when they and their child were rejected by their pack. They wanted to leave after Tahvo grew old enough to travel, but 'Sabre found the two Mirrors useful and so she beat them in righteous combat, thus securing their loyalty.
Unathi cares for her child more than anything else in the world. Even Ratnam falls into the background compared to Tahvo. Unathi will do anything for him. Moonsabre clan is Tahvo's home, and where he stays, his parents stay. And so Unathi makes herself useful, and plots to eventually hatch a brood of Mirrors so big they eventually take over the clan.
Of course, she's pretty clumsy about keeping secrets. Her idea of a 'whisper' is kinda loud. Most of the rest of the clan knows what she and Ratnam think they're up to. It's so ludicrous and unlikely to happen that, frankly, it's turned into something of an inside joke.
Fortunately, her respect for Moonsabre after the Queen's victory over them in combat makes her a loyal fighter and over the years she's become one of the clan's most trusted generals. Despite her plotting tendencies. When she's not at home fussing over Tahvo, Moonsabre keeps her busy and out of trouble by sending her out to patrol the territory and support her generals in battle.
