 Artemis is a mysterious dragon. He's often found curled up in a corner far away from the rest of the Clan, snoozing. Conversations with him are usually shallow and transient. His leader initially doubted his adequacy because of his laziness until Artemis proved himself to be profoundly adept in battle and hunting. He appears to carry a darker side to himself, losing all of his perceived inhibition to happily slaughter rivals. When hunting, he is determined to best all of his other Clanmates as his race provides him an inherent skill in gathering treasure.

He is obsessed with his own beauty, shamelessly strutting about and showing off his glimmering features for others to envy.

However, his vanity and brute strength are about the only good [in his eyes, anyway] qualities about him. His unpremeditated nature can be intolerant for other dragons, and he often gets himself into trouble. Like Melisande, Artemis is stubborn when faced up against Kirunali's co-leadership. He doesn't particularly favor her austere way of bossing him around and shows jealousy towards her rank, thinking he's more deserving of it because he's stronger. The tension is at its thickest when Kirunali and Artemis argue with each other- the other dragons often fear violence will rise.

He is considered the strongest dragon in the Clan.
