Ashes

ashes does not know much of his life before he met rosewater. he has only three memories of life beforehand: obtaining his mute shroud familiar, his imperial mother, and a terrible calamity befalling his original home- though, he doesn't remember the specifics.

he's a very shy dragon, spooked easily and uncertain of even the most friendly of strangers. due to his unsocial nature, he often keeps to himself, studying alone in his room, and only ever desiring the company of rosewater or his three children.

ashes has always been interested in magic, but he's barely able to perform novice spells, let alone something actually powerful. he keeps at studying magic, however, since he believes he may unearth more memories of his childhood if he can somehow learn more spells.
