His parents had never been on the same page. A shadow dragon and light dragon surely have troubles getting along, but if the shadow dragon is a follower of the Earthshaker, and the light dragon a follower of the Windsinger, the term "problems" suddenly takes on a way worse meaning. They fought all the time. About where they should live, how they should upbring their children, which Deity they should teach their children to worship. Especially the latter has always been a touchy subject. Poison never got to know his older siblings - they had moved out as fast as possible. He had had two nest siblings: a sister named Sunset, and a brother named Philomelus. Their eggs had been laid in the realm of the Shadowbringer, but during their incubation, their parents had moved "back" to the Mirrorlight Promenade. So, wierdly enough, the three siblings were shadow dragons born in the realm of the Lightweaver. The other dragons living there avoided the family - the constant fighting of the parents drove them away, so did the three hatchlings. Most of all, so did Poison. Not only was he a shadow dragon born in the realm of Light, but he was also a shadow dragon with an extremely strong connection to the Shadowbinder. His eyes literally leaked shadow energy, manifesting in a slime-like liquid, much like the great Shadowbinder's eyes did. On the other hand, he was not pretty. He had inherited the worst of his parents' genes, making him hideous to look at - and the slime dripping from his face did not help his hideous appearance either. He hated himself. His siblings soon moved out - Philomelus going back to his roots to the shadow realm and Sunset... to be honest, Poison didn't even know where she went. She had headed north... somewhere. To find her own path, not influenced by her parents. WIP. Lost motivation halfway through... |
