Biography

Harboring a spiteful heart, Azureus is afflicted with a body that is seemingly cursed to be plagued by the blight since his birth. “Merely one of the many gifts,” he snarls, as his sightless ‘eyes’ roil in his skull, “bestowed to me by our wretched Mother.” The mirror wears his bleach bone rogue hood on his person at all times, claiming that it helps shade and dust from his ‘eye’s’ when the sun is at its highest, as does not possesses eyelids with the plague that has wrought havoc on his face. When Azureus sleeps, it’s said that his ‘eyes’ reduce themselves to the faintest of glow in the dark. His eyes, however, are not the only part of him that is wracked by the Plaguebringer’s influence. His entire underbelly, from the tip of his chin to the end of his tail, is devoid of his natural scales, leaving only pale and vulnerable salmon-colored flesh. As he is, Azureus is not fond of fighting as he is at an extreme disadvantage before he even enters the battlegrounds. The most armor he can wear can only cover his legs as a heavy chest plate would chafe against his unprotected chest, leaving even the tiniest of flesh wounds to become virulent with plague. As such, Azureus is fit only to be the Guardian of the Pestilence within the clan. Despite what he says in regards to his body and the Plaguebringer, the mirror does perform his duty faithfully with the aid of his two familiars: the Spirit of the Plague and a Ghostly Rat Lord. Few of his clan mates think to bother him when his familiars are prone to crawling up a dragon’s body and biting the tender bits. Some wager that a bite from Azure’s familiars can inflict similar horrors upon another dragon’s body. Azure himself has not commented on this rumor and it’s likely he’s not inclined to speak any time soon about the matter. Despite his coarse attitude and fearsome appearance, he does love a few things in his life. First off, his familiars - which he treats with great care. Secondly, Azureus loves music, so much so that this is how he says he loves the world. So much so that he uses his Voltaic Stormclaws to play haunting melodies that soothe his slumber and pass his time as the Guardian. Written by Atavism |
