Species: Dragon-Nocturne

-Luminos was hatched from a strange, overly glowing light egg found far from the Sunbeam Ruins, in the Windswept Plateau. Without any parents found nearby, the egg was taken home and promptly hatched by the inhabitants in the region now known as Portalpoint. Being born a small fae, it was a shock to find that he had incredibly high levels of magical energy, to the point that he had glowing eyes, and golden runes that appeared on his scales quickly after. Thankfully, the outpouring of light from his eyes and runes keep his magic from exploding his body from the strain (a particularly terrifying fate caused by too much magic buildup).

-Learning to read and write at an earlier age than most, Luminos was fairly frustrated with his size as a Fae, which are too small to pick up books written for larger breeds such as Guardians and Imperials, and so during the Night of The Nocturne, he took one of the Nocturne scrolls and used it on himself, thinking he would become a middle-sized breed, large enough to pick up larger books but small enough to hold and read smaller books. Of course, he didn't realize until it was too late that the Nocturnes messed with the scrolls... He claims to have made peace with the fact that he is now even smaller than before, and no longer wishes to change breeds again, out of worry something even more strange will happen. He is still secretly a bit bitter about the whole thing, and often carries several spells and potions to make him about the size he should have been (~5.6m long), for when he spends time with other members of the lair. On the plus side, he can still live in his old fae-made tree-sap home...

-In his free time, he can usually be found with a book (or on a book, depending on the book's size), reading in the sunlight during the day or in the library, reading by the light of his glowing eyes. Other times he is writing his own stories, his claw-tip extension dipped in ink as he writes. Some of these stories are actually about the beings within the Portal (with their permission, usually) in order to protect the beings that live there by providing information about how safe it is to be near them, how to escape if they become hostile for some reason, how to prevent them from becoming hostile, etc. These stories are presented usually in the form of false legends or myths, or as "local cryptid survival guides." Most who know about the Portal are happy to have information about how to coexist with their neighbors, while unaware, permanent residents are usually confused as to why all their friends keep suggesting they read so many of Luminos' books...

-Every once in a while, Luminos and Isol join up with the local "Monster Investigators"(Name and Members is WIP) to investigate reports of non-local cryptids/beings or Non-Portal residents that have or are trying to move into the area. Luminos typically helps by writing down and records any evidence they find...and staying out of danger when possible.
