The History of the Blackmoon Clan

• Roujia & Jaxon fell in love while studying at the Arcanist's Observatory.
• They started a study group along with Kaiyo Vulturehead, Zazu'ulbi Blueflame, and Avedha Echocry.
• The group meets a trio of travelling Shadow mages. The two groups agree to exchange information for the duration of the travellers' stay.
• Study group gets out of control, becomes a cult basically.
• Study-Cult decides to move back to the Tangled Wood with the Shadow travellers.
• Group crosses the Scarred Wasteland, a few die and Kaiyo becomes terribly sick. She survives only through the help of her adopted daughter Kyomi.
• Group reaches the Tangled Wood, settles down in the deepest depths of the forests.
• Roujia & Jaxon begin leading raids on nearby clans. The Study-Cult members go along with it (mostly due to peer pressure) but most feel terribly wrong about the idea of bringing harm to innocent natives.
• Kaiyo's psychic abilites are somehow unlocked by the disease she contracted in the Scarred Wasteland. After fully recovering from her illness, she has her first psychic vision: she sees a clan and a clan leader, and she knows that this is the fate of the study group that was quickly devolving into a barbaric cult.
• After meditating on the vision, Kaiyo realizes that a revolution must occur in order for the clan she saw in her vision to become a reality. Kaiyo tells her daughter Kyomi of the vision, and urges her to start a revolution, to rebel against Roujia and Jaxon.
• Kyomi agrees to carry out the revolution, reluctantly at first but she becomes more enthusiastic once she realizes how supportive her fellow mages are of the idea.
• The revolution, later called the Great Rebellion, is a success. Roujia and Jaxon are banished to an underground prison of their own making, with a sentence of three centuries.
• Other dragons propose that Kaiyo and Kyomi take over the clan, as the most key players in the revolution. Kyomi is eager to step up and take the throne but Kaiyo refuses to allow her to accept the position. A new leader needed to be chosen. Kaiyo knew that the leader she saw in her vision had not yet been born -- but her mother was there.
• Kaiyo told the entire clan of her vision (but left out the fact that Austere would be the mother of the future leader), and she announced Austere Blackmoon as the new temporary leader of the clan until the true heir was born.
• Austere, as a young and inexperienced Skydancer, raised clan morale through the roof but made many mistakes in leadership along the way. She appointed a council to assist her in making decisions. The first High Council consisted of: Kaiyo Vulturehead, Shamas Serpentstone, and Umbryx Crowclaw.
• Salem makes a mess, blames her daughter Seance. Seance was locked up.
• Salem continues her Shadework and creates an Emperor with hopes of killing Austere and taking over the clan. (Created with the bodies of: Salem's mate; the daughter of Avedha & Zazu'ulbi; and a random female imperial who was killed by Sage.)
• Salem accidentally unleashes the Emperor upon the clan, and her minions snitch on her after realizing the true severity of the situation.
• Salem is promised a later punishment, but is urged to work to find a solution against the Emperor in the meantime.
• Lunate Violetlight and Salem work together to create the Chaotica Orb, which can be used to contain the Emperor.
• Salem fled before she could be punished, leaving her daughter Seance and her son Umbryx behind.
• Austere & Umbryx fell in love throughout the whole Emperor ordeal; they are married soon after.
• Clan prospers for a while.

• Sombre Blackmoon is born to Sombre Blackmoon and Umbryx Crowclaw.
• Sombre takes the throne.
