Of all his kin, Sûreun was consistently one of the most industrious and innovative, even in the early days of the world. Pure, divine light burned at his core and he walked the land wreathed in flame, raising mountains of fire from the depths of the earth. High in the timeless cities of heaven, Sûreun built his first forge, and shooting stars could be seen soaring across the sky whenever he worked. He was once a being of light and purity, worthy of reverence, and the genius of his creative mind was unmatched both on earth and in heaven. It was in part what led to his downfall and transformation into a chaotic, unpredictable thing, fueled by hatred and an insatiable desire for power and destruction. Cast out from the nebulous cities of the gods, Sûreun descended upon the mortal land like a wildfire and claimed for himself the Ash Kingdom of the southern Empyrean, building within it one of the most ferocious armies to blight the earth.
