Sold into a clan of collectors at a young age, Faillon lived a life of living decor. His matching, iridescent scales and amethyst gembond made him highly valuable as a living symbol of wealth and prosperity. All was not well though, for to be living art, you had to not be a person. Faillon lived a highly restrictive life where even familiars had more of a personhood than he himself did. It was a forced dependance combined with his painful gembond that kept him rooted there. His dreams of freedom were only fantasies until one of the members of the clan tarnished the enforced purity of one of the collection. Promptly he was sold with another dragon, Perren, to Kolin's clan.

It took time for him to get used to a life without restrictions. Even his gembond became a thing of the past when Ashvael cured him of the disease. It took longer for the fears and insecurities to settle and him to actually begin to truly enjoy his life for the very first time. The other rescued dragon, Perren, he came to see not as an embodiment of all that he hated, but rather, a fellow survivor of the same experience. Not long from there, the two became mated.

Faillon still has many emotional scars from his experience and to this day can't bear the idea of having children of his own blood. A female of his colors joined with the clan and kindly offered to be a surrogate for his mate Perren, which allowed them to have children.
