Hydra

"If I am a nightmare as they say, then what are they who did this to me?"

Somewhere in the middle of the ocean, a massive storm was stirring up a violent storm with thick dark clouds hanging over the sky, pouring down a heavy shower of rain onto the surface of the ocean as the sound of thunder vibrated through the air and shook the earth ominously. A single ship struggling in the middle of the sea bobbled up and down as waves beat angrily onto the dampened wood, where a tiny man could be seen steering its wheels skilfully.

"Come on now, Hydra! I know you're there!" he shouted into the air. "Get out and face me, you monstrous demon!"

As if answering to this call, a giant swirl began to rotate twenty feet away, drawing gallons of water within like a a hurricane stirring up

beneath its surface. Suddenly, a serpent with vivid peacock blue bursted out from the ocean like a rocket. It turned its head slowly, stretched its lime-like glassy wings and fixed its gaze onto the lone ship floating upon the raging waters.

"You've finally decided to show up, eh?" the man asked , stepping away from the wheels for the first time and pulling down a heavy lever beside him. At once, twelve metal pipes were ejected from both sides of the ship with a loud clunk. "We've had enough of your chaos, Hydra. There is no way for us to live unless you stop the storms and flooding!"

"This is everyone's ocean," the serpent explained calmly in a deep, hollow voice. "'Tis not my fault to stir up the storm, human. It is inevitable that my huge body had caused turbulence as I navigate through the waters, I never intended to cause troubles."

But the human wasn't listening anymore, for he had hammered down a button as thick streams of liquid shot from all twelve metal cannons, covering the sea serpent from head to tail with hot burning acids.

Hydra growled more painfully than ever, twisting and twirling it instinctively dived into the depths of the sea trying to wash the chemicals away. Within five minutes, the acid stuck on its skin ate through the serpent's epidermis, revealing its pearly white skull underneath. As its pain slowly faded away, the serpent pondered sadly to himself: is it never possible for him to peacefully co-exist with mankind? For he was born as a sea serpent, should he forever remains as a monster?
