Kotone, unfriendly as she is, isn't exactly the type you'd imagine bringing people together. Though she's less than polite when it comes to casual conversation, she's fairly dedicated to her job, and treats her clients with as much respect as she can possibly muster. Which isn't too much, but it's the thought that counts.

She's extremely particular in how people put their parcels and letters together, and will decline to send them if she deems them to be unsuitable. Her rules? They are posted, but they stand nearly a mile long outside of her office's door. Nobody with a life has the time to read them, so instead they simply give her their letters and pray for the best. Often they fail, but at the very least she's kindly enough to explain every single detail they had wrong. If you want a package to get through Kotone, you better like lectures.

Even to her partner and mate, Knos, Kotone is obviously less than affectionate. If anything, she's worse than usual around him. Without some level of respect required around clients and strangers, Kotone is her pure, honest self. For once, a lie or two might not hurt.

On rare occasions Kotone does accept the kindness her mate offers up to her. At the very least, it's known to be genuine, even if her responses still aren't usually up to par.
