Silas is an oddity among Plague dragons-- He has the choice to inflict a nasty disease to another dragon just out of loyalty his home flight, but he chooses not to (unless you give him a legitimate reason to do so). He makes a living hunting for his clan's resources and fending off threats to the lair itself, making him among valuable members of the Galesweeper Tribe. If anything, he wants nothing more or less than to lead life his own ways, especially considering his particularly rough past as an unwanted hatchling to an unwanted nest.

Were it not for his gradual increase in strength and endurance (as well as some help from a former healer), he would either be stuck in his birth clan or die in it. He never knew who his parents were, nor did he know what happened to them, at least until he was sent a letter by his mother by the time his two stepbrothers arrived some time after he did. From there, he acknowledged what she had to suffer through, and although he can never visit her again, Silas will always miss her. He has no grudge against his father despite his repulsive actions, but prays that he has at least learned a lesson from his mistakes.
