History
Born on the cloudscape crags magma would stare out at night at the dim glow of the Magmablood Rebuke (for which she was named) across the sea. Her dream to become a smith in the land of fire didn't pan out as expected. All but one master smith laughed her out the door. The one who did accept her only did so begrudgingly. He told her he only did so in hope that she'd see her dream was pointless and quit without regret. Her heart burnt with an indignation hot enough to melt the forge itself. She worked harder than any apprentice night and day without any magic to help. When a fellow outsider Lava joined a year later she took him under her wing. In turn he helped her in an unexpected way. His knowledge of physics while imperfect far exceeded any in the flam forger's domain- he came to her with plans to use cooling as part of the forging process. Together they made strong peices out of metals usually considered junk, and earned even their harsh masters approval.
One night Lava came to her in tears, his loan was due and bailiffs were set to drag him back to the sunbeam ruins. They fled together in the night to find a new home. Magma was glad to leave at this point feeling she had outstripped her master in any case.
They courted a few clans in the scarred wasteland and were entertaining bids for their services when the stricken presented them with an offer they couldn't refuse- join or die.
The first months were terror but soon Magma realized there wasn't a demand she couldn't make that the clan would not bend over backward to fulfil. The finest materials, expanding the forge into other spaces, even ridiculous tools from the Starfall isles that she didn't even know how to use. No one remarked on her ice power or questioned her skill. When they were no longer even lightly watched She and Lava considered leaving on principle but ultimately decided that they had a good thing going.
While Lava is primarily interested in weapons Magma's heart is in armor and infrastructure. The current main forge was made entirely by her.
While Lava might be a little disappointed by the relaxing of the clan's warring ways Magma is pleased that her infrastructure projects are getting more time and attention.
An adorable Grill scout delivered this pumpkin to our clan. Magma Immediately stole it.
