Robin called it being "tidy."
Others called it being "prissy, snobbish, and downright ridiculous."
He wasn't prissy, he'd argue. He just didn't like mud, or dirt, or anything that was typically found outside. Anyone who liked or even tolerated those things was beyond helping. He wasn't a snob, either! He simply had standards, unlike some other people, with whom it was far beneath his dignity to associate. And he certainly wasn't ridiculous, he'd declare, while sitting on a desk for fear of a particularly large mouse that had made its way into his meticulously cleaned and organized study.
Yes, he was a dragon, and yes, it was a mouse, but it was almost big enough to be a rat. He was perfectly justified in hiding from it.
Robin, it might be noted, was a bit of a coward. And to be perfectly frank, the accusations were true: he was prissy, snobbish, and rather frequently downright ridiculous.
He did, however, have some redeeming qualities.
Despite his fear of mice, he didn't have the heart to kill them. After taking approximately an hour to steel his nerves, he'd jump from his desk, fling an illegal Stunning Spell at the mouse who'd caused his distress, and then gingerly pick up the paralyzed creature and run to take it outside, braving even the dirt and mess of the world beyond his home for the rodent. He might have been prissy and snobbish, but he was also ridiculous--ridiculous enough to commit a crime for the sake of a mouse's life.
His bizarre mixture of personality traits combined to make him strange, but mostly pleasant, company. He was quick with a joke or a retort, and had a surprisingly endearing lopsided smile. It was a difficult task to get him talking, but anyone who took the time to befriend him found him a good conversationalist, knowledgeable in a wide array of subjects. He was a good listener, and a brilliant teacher when it came to topics he was interested in. Talking with him was thoroughly enjoyable.
There would always be the unfortunate moments of Robin crashing into lamps, though, which tended to derail conversations.
His hands were too big for his body, and his legs seemed like they were too long for him to control--he frequently collided with things and people. In his human form, he was a slim, nervous-looking man, with tawny hazel eyes that evaluated the world from behind a pair of oversized spectacles. His hair was silvery grey; despite his best efforts and the use of magic, a cowlick at his hairline left it constantly messy. Whenever he was worried--which was often--he ran his hands through his hair, which only exacerbated the problem. As soon as he realized what he was doing, he'd try to pat his hair back down, and in the process make it even worse. Then, his pale face pink with shame, he'd run to the nearest bathroom and make rather frivolous use of a Binding Spell to fix it.
"Tidy," he called it. He was just being tidy.
And whatever else people called him, there was no denying that Robin was, indeed, quite tidy.
