Nightwhisper hatched in a small tribe of nightspinners, even as a hatchling the young spiral was better at illusions and the like rather than offensive magic like a good part of the other hatchlings were although that didn't stop her from playing with the other hatchlings and appearing and disappearing at random when it was called for in one of their games. the young dragoness often hesitated before wandering with the rest of the hatchlings, not out of fear, but because she was thinking of the best way to do things and what might happen. many joked that she thought ten moves ahead of everyone else, but the patient dragoness never saw a real need to hurry into anything while her friends all raced about and were often seen by normal dragons, she was rarely seen except when she chose to be, loveing the darkest nights when it would be harder to see her and to her the night was just so much prettier.
As she grew several of the other hatchlings started talking about leaving to make their own tribes and many of the other hatchlings agreed, she knew there would be a place for her with them, maybe not a high ranking place at first, but a place.
she decided to leave with them when they did, many of the hatchlings were already fighting to find ot who would lead and she let them, she would wait until she was older and with any luck she would lead them in the end. the group left and many split from the group as others joined, soon many of the hatchlings she knew were gone and others had joined with the exception of the current Lafaan who challenged all of the new comers and in the end decided if they could stay.

As she grew Nightwhisper became enchanted with items the beastclan had made and often collected spears, bones, warnhorns, pretty fabrics, and shiny jewelry although she displayed little of it on her den, many of her trinkets were set proudly on the walls of her den. Nightwhisper found herself protecting those she saw as defenceless as she grew, hatchlings, smaller Nightspinners, even the occasional familiar that was being chased by something larger and meaner than it's self, she didn't think much of it since protecting the defenseless made her feel good and feel useful to her tribe.
As she got older she started disagreeing with her Lafaan on small things at first and knew before long her choices would have to be made soon on if she would fight to lead her current tribe or find a new one to live in. eventually the choice was made for her when the lafaan tried to force them to move, the elders and weaker of the tribe would not be able to keep up and the territory was still safe and plentiful. she challenged the Lafaan, wings glowing brightly as she prepared her spells for a battle she was sure she would loose since the Lafaan was better at offensive magic than she was.

Her illusions saved her as she fought, throwing illusion after illusion at the big male in hopes of distracting him before attacking with tooth and claw; she won, if only just, and took over leading her tribe. as time went on and she got use to her new role her tribe members left the tribe and new Nightspinners came in the tribe, she watched and did her best to take care of those in her tribe and soon found she wanted hatchlings of her own. she watched others bond and have families and felt a longing, but pushed it to the back of her mind in favor of focusing on her tribe.
Moving from their home in the Tangled woods to the viridian labyrinth was a difficult decision for the young tribe, but Nightwhisper thought it would be a move for the best as Nature's domain had a wide variety of unoccupied areas with many different kinds of flora and fauna that they could gather. Nightwhisper had the stronger of the tribe help her build strong walls to keep the tribe safe and sheltered and allowed her tribe to see her wing glow brightly as she prepared an illusion to hide their home from outsiders.
