Atlas had never been more than a wanderer.

In his former home, he'd spent countless hours practicing magic, though no true talent ever came to fruition. In spite of his weak magic, Atlas threw himself into his studies, determined to make himself into something useful. He'd spent too long on the sidelines—too long wondering what kind of purpose the world had in store for him. If he had to, he'd make his own.

Though his magic isn't useful for combat in the slightest, Atlas has managed to master the art of mirages. Utilizing his skill, he's managed to formulate many things from fireflies to other dragons, though the larger and more complicated apparitions drain his energy much faster than simpler, smaller creatures. This skill was quickly noticed by Fane, the first dragon to truly recognize Atlas's abilities.

Together with Zerri, Fane provided Atlas with all the praise and recognition he could ever hope for, effectively manipulating him into appreciating the same ideals the former two shared. This left Atlas believing he was thinking for himself, and was simply being guided by these two as friends and companions. In reality, he was only being used for his skills in deception, furthering the selfish goals of the two rogues he believes care for him.
