Khelgar
Clan leader
Somewhere deep in the Tangled Wood, there once lived a mighty and fierce clan known as the Sonopara clan. This clan, consisting of mostly Wildclaws and Mirrors, were a fearsome bunch. A Pearlcatcher, by the name of Gladden, made his way into the clan, and had a nest with one of the warriors; a Mirror called Ghor.

When Khelgar was very young, the clan was attacked by rivals; a clan that had always warred with the Sonoparas; a clan led by a ruthless Skydancer by the name of Selget. The ambush came in the dead of night; no one was expecting it; they were all slaughtered. Except one.

Khelgar escaped into a cave system deep under ground; a cave where even the light of Lightweaver didn't reach, where even Shadowbinder's calls went unheard. This cave spanned half of Sorenieth, beneath dragonkind's claws. Khelgar grew use to the darkness very quickly. Some of the bioluminescent dust from mushrooms and other flora rubbed off onto him, and his blue opal-like markings had begun glowing.

Khelgar was the sole survivor of the Sono-Slaughter, as he calls it. When he was grown he swore vengeance on Selget and his clan.

  • Khelgar was the sole survivor of the Sonopara clan. He was very young when that faithful ambush was launched. He escaped to a cave system and has lived there ever since.
  • Living in a cave devoid of light does strange things to a dragon. The bioluminescent flora and fauna had influenced his adaption and allowed him to glow at will.
  • He and Voidwalker, despite their family ties, are best friends. It took lots of time for Khelgar to warm up to Void, but after he did, they became close friends.
  • Khelgar is an excellent leader, but enjoys a nice break once in a while. Sometimes he will journey to the surface, but rarely stays above for more than a day.
