Mariah and Apollo are the heirs to House Sunsar, one of the wealthiest and most highly respected houses among the courts. The two do everything together and are very deeply connected - at times, its almost as if they can read one another's minds.

As Cultural Advisors, they lead the High Court meetings and attend most court gatherings. Their roles are to gather information from citizens, organizations, institutions, and foreign ambassadors on their needs and demands of the King, which they relay back to the Council. Unfortunately, the two Skydancers are rather stuck up and aloof, and have little patience for the "trivial" affairs citizens outside the courts. Many of their desires go ignored or simply unrecognized because of this.

Of the two, Mariah tends to handle the social and public affairs. Being more judgmental than her brother, she gives little attention to anyone she believes is below her (or at least intolerably so, as the Skydancer thinks very highly of herself). She is no fan of King Badar and thinks his appointment as Lord is a bastardization of the throne, but she holds her tongue. She seems only interested in ensuring her allies at court are well supported during the uncertain times ahead - leaving the civilians of the city vulnerable.

Mariah keeps Pucheen impeccably well-groomed and spoiled. She is a cheerful and bright companion, and likely one of the few creatures Mariah truly loves. She goes wherever Mariah does, following her obediently and even receiving her own chair at the High Court meetings.
