The child of demigod of lava and tide, (unnamed) seems to be a perfect mix of their parents, loving and protective like their mother, and thoughtful and resourceful like their father. Growing up around forgeworkers and maren both, they learned valuable lessons about hard work, perseverance, patience, and planning; though they always felt the urge to adventure. They felt that they could add no more to their volcanic isle, and so they have set off to find a place in the world, one that would allow them to flourish so that the community they ended up in would flourish as well.
Being the child of demigods, (unnamed) has some strange and interesting powers at their disposal. Formed from a mixture of flame and sea, their powers are based in Earth magic. Carrying a bag of obsidian shards with them always, they have the ability to bend it to their will, changing it into any shape they please without having to so much as touch it, and being able to control what it does in the same way. In a volcanic caldera, or any place with an excess of obsidian, their power is strongest, and the things they can form and do with the material, you truly must see to believe.
Their favorite methods of combat are to form large weapons or constructs from their obsidian, they do most of their fighting without ever having to touch their weapons, allowing them to put more distance between themselves and their foes than any normal fighter. However, they prefer to avoid unequal fights, and often look to compromise if they don't believe they can win. Rather than battle, though, their true passion is art and architecture. Building statues, stairwells, mantelpieces, rooms, and sometimes outbuildings out of obsidian and other, less malleable (to them) materials is what they live for. They've never been able to keep up their concentration long enough to build more than a single floor with their power, but they dream of building an entire house- no, a mansion- of obsidian. Maybe with enough training, they can turn that dream into reality.
