Biography

But tbh what if the opal is amber, it formed their from a fae finding them bleeding and having literally chunks taken from them. They used the sap and stuff to heal them and fill in the chunks and it just... is how they are now.

They seem to crackle when they move because of the opal and if you touch their opal is always seems just a little sticky because their body heat is so high that it never quite cured perfectly

Maybe they get nightmares of what hurt them?
Or maybe they get phantom pains and stuff

Dragons from near and far have all heard of a rare fire flower! It's never seen more than once in the same place, but whenever it is seen, the wildlife around it is on fire
Fast forward to someone getting a closer look only to realize that the "flower" was actually a tiny coatl baby! They'd been raised in a volcano for so long that their opal absorbed some heat and sets things on fire
(Little booties come in)
Coatl baby is super upset because they love plants and flowers but ends up setting them on fire when they get near
That's why they're always spotted around other flowers, because they love them so much
