Biography
JUSTUS
Creative inventor | Garden engineer
Old familiar:
Young Justus
Creative inventor | Garden engineer
Old familiar:
A unique monochrome Tundra with lime green highlights clumsily landed on the ground in front of the lair with a thump. He looked up and gave an embarrassed smile. "Hi! I'm the new recruit."
No one was near to hear him. "Hellooo?" He tried again. No one. He decided to look around by himself.
He spotted a beautiful glass windchime, sparkling in the sunlight. He gently touched it, and enjoyed the quiet sounds it gave out. He poked it again and again, until it fell of accidentally. As soon as it hit the ground, it shattered into pieces, along with his heart. Not again. I messed up. I thought this time for sure... Justus got up and flew away quickly.
A pretty Pearlcathcer came out covered in dirt. She saw the broken windchime. "So this one broke too. Too bad, kinda liked it." She cleaned up the last pieces of glass too, and put out a new one. "There. I hope you'll last longer then the one before... or before... or before..." She chukled in herself and went back to the garden, humming.
The night started to settle in, when the clan leader called the clan together. "We were expecting a new family member today. No has one seen him?" The dragons looked at each other with excitement and worry. "A new member? No. What happened?" Nightsky looked up. That's what I'd like to know.
He sent out the Colisseum team, and a tracker dragon, to look for the missing boy. Justus wasn't far away, but he was asleep, and his patterns allowed him to perfectly blend into almost everything. The team easily flew over him.
When he woke up, he decided to fly away, and try out with a new clan. Again. As he soared up high in the sky, he noticed something. Or more like someone. Someone that almost made him forget to breath. It did make him forget to fly though. He fell off the sky, and landed right next to Korihime.
"Oh, hi...hey...hello." He tried to dust himself. The young tundra girl squinted her eyes for a few seconds, then turned red. "Justus? What are you doing here?" He stood in front of the only dragon he couldn't lie to. "I was supposed to arrive in this clan. But I broke something. So I'm running away." He was surprised but happy to hear Korihime's tinkling laugh. "Don't tell me, it was the windchime." It was Justus's turn to blush. "H...how do you know?" "Naumora told me that it broke again. It breaks quite often. But she also saw big male tundra footprints next to it this time. Neither Cyrus, nor Yohn or Corrundum was there today. I just put two and two together."
After a short renuion, the girl remembered that the search party is still out. They flew to the clan leader, and told him everything. Nightsky understood it, and introduced him as a late arrival. After the clan greeted him, he called the tundra boy aside. "Next time if something happens, you have to tell me. It's okay. We all make mistakes. But you have to own up to them." Justus felt real shame. "Yes, sir. I will." Nightsky nodded and flew away. Lux grabbed the new family member, and pulled him back to the welcome party.

Young Justus
Despite everything, Justus, couldn't forget the windchime. Using the knowledge collected from his previous rapid homes, he created a way stronger glass, than the clan had. It didn't just improve the decoration! He managed to build a greenhouse. The clan's plants were blooming better then ever.
