Biography

Pit is the second-in-command of the pack, but is nowhere near dominant as CherryBomb is. He makes up for it by creating amazing systems for his tribe, such as a foldable lightweight shelter due to their wandering tendencies, and has even taken to smithing beautiful mechanism parts. He is a tad more withdrawn to the other dragons.

CherryBomb tells Pit to follow his instincts, but Pit's instincts tell him to learn. Even if he doesn't rule with an iron fist, he can calmly argue his way out of nearly anything and has a silver tongue when it comes to getting others to do what he wants. Though CherryBomb would never admit it, without him the Blackfire tribe would surely inwardly crumble.

Clan Stories

Something had called CherryBomb here. A certain beat, a certain heat, a certain change. Her secondary vision was going crazy, things glowed here like they had never before in her homeland of ice. It was like the entire land was laying out before, pulsating, shifting under her galloping claws.

She snatched a bird out of the air, chewing on it as she went on her way. In the distance, she could hear roars of a different pack in the distance. She felt nervous, but did not slow down as she swallowed the mess of feathers and bones to give a howl of her own. A loud rumbling chuff caught her attention.

The mirror male was like looking at a reflection of herself. They both stopped, examining each other quizzically, and were quickly surrounded by the pack in the area.

"You just passin' through?" Another female, Kii, asked, her head held high as she approached the both of them.

"I may be." The reflection replied.

"You two siblings?" Kii continued as the other mirrors paced. Their instincts wanted to immediately establish hierarchy, but none of them were pure plague mirrors and so they didn't act upon them so easily.

"No."

"Mates?"

"We just met." Reflection replied. There was a larger male, Mek, approaching CherryBomb, and she bared her teeth at him and let out a low growl. She could smell that he had nested lately, but she had been wrong about one thing. He was a plague mirror. She readied herself for battle, whipping her tail back and forth, and he lunged forward with his maw open wide.

He was not so eager for battle. Perhaps it was his light element, but he lowered his head when Kii approached him, his crest flat against his neck. Kii leaned in closely, and let out a low growl. and he lied on his belly as per his instincts told him, wings tucked in close to his sides. She put her claw on his snout and leaned her weight on him.

"Join our pack, stranger." She said, in a calm but authoritative tone despite the snarling and the tail whipping and the struggling nearby from Cherry Bomb and Mek. Brev chuffed and laughed wildly as the other mirrors cheered the fight on. Kii took her claw off his snout.

"Is she joining too?" He asked.

"She's already fitting in." Kii said driily as CherryBomb threw Mek over a lava pool and screeched in defiance.

"I am not a fighter." He said, lifting his head to turn and watch, "This is... my first mirror pack I've ever encountered."

"Unfortunately, you'll have to become one here." Kii replied, "You'll have to figure things out with the hatchlings. Maybe one day you'll even win a mate over."

Mek promptly retreated from Cherry Bomb's snapping and steaming maw, and Cherry Bomb chased him out of sight. The pack of mirrors moved to watch, but he and Kii did not follow.

Kii turned to him, "I am Kii. Who are you?"

"... I don't have a name." He admitted, "I ran away before my parents named me."

Kii gazed at him for a while. She was covered in blood bandages under he rags, he suddenly realized, "That's going to be inconvenient.I'll give you a new name." Kii said, "You can change it if you like, but for now you will be called Pit."

"Pit..." As he accepted it, he could feel the magic of a name work into him, "I am Pit..."

"Come. They'll leave us behind." Kii sprang ahead, her wings outspread. Pit was soon to follow her.
