Biography
The younger of the Soothsayer Sisters, Isla is a reclusive light mystic, the origin of her powers unknown. Unlike Morna, her loquacious adoptive sister, she does not speak. The Wisps have various ideas as to why: some say she must have been mute from her hatching, others believing she gave up her voice to receive her precognitive abilities, and a few suspect she simply chooses silence. She has neglected to comment on any of this, so nobody knows for sure. Regardless, Morna acts as her mouthpiece in communicating with the rest of the clan, Isla speaking directly through her when she desires to.
Whereas Morna's skill in storytelling and lavishing her words leads most to believe her to be the more effective Soothsayer, Isla is the only one who actually has the power to peer into the future. Morna has said that Isla's pearl does not record her past, but instead, the future, and that this is where their fortune-telling prowess comes from. But that could have easily been just a bit of embellishment on the skydancer's part, and Isla has declined to answer questions on the subject personally.
When not by Morna's side, Isla keeps to herself. She tends to be wary of overly social dragons and will leave the moment she feels even slightly intimidated. However, she does enjoy the company of quieter kin, and should one not mind spending time in silence with her, she will not object to their presence and may come to like them.
