Tourmaline

After her mother abandoned the clan to practice her dark magic in secret in the land of plague, and her father followed her, Tourmaline was born into that dark place, scared of both her parents and their obsession with magic that was beyond what sane dragons would toy with. In her fear, she left one night after speaking with a more sane member of the clan her parents were in, and learning of her ancestors living in the Starwood Strand. she made her way to the dreaded forest, unaware of the dangers she was in. Lost and alone, she was led astray by the creatures of the wood and was lost. Devoid of any remaining hope for survival, she collapsed and cried out into the dark forest night. It was then, that one of the dragons that she had come to this place to find, was out gathering for the night, and heard her desperate cries. by sheer luck and chance, she was taken in and found that she was where she belonged. She took up learning the Arcane Magic that her mother abandoned with hope that one day she would be able to bring her back into the light and save her, and her father, from themselves.
