KUTI'S family is made up primarily of tough dyed-in-the-wool farmers. Despite this, she never really got the hang of tending the fields, or indeed doing anything with plants not directly involving consumption. Engineering was more her style. She cut her teeth on farming tech on the Plateau, then moved on to taking apart constructs and other, more complicated tech and seeing how it all fit together.

Kuti spent some time training in the Lightning Farm, getting the hang of more dangerous and experimental tech. Before she'd grown her whiskers out all the way, she was able to MacGuyver pretty much any kind of tech out of any kind of scrap. She was a mechanic for a traveling circus for a time, before she crossed paths with Harling and signed on to be her personal handydragon and thing-fixer.

Kuti's since moved up to being the senior engineer of the Cachinno Company -- senior referring to her position on the chain of command more than maturity in this case. Mostly that just means she keeps everything from falling spectacularly apart. She does it well, and she enjoys the work.

When she's not working, Kuti's either partying or looking for a party. She reads a lot -- mostly pulp romances -- and gossips even more. She loves staying on top of the latest news coming out of wherever and concerning whoever. She's an incorrigible flirt with the ladies and, if left to her own devices for too long, is bound to get into some kind of trouble with her best frenemy, Marouc.

IMPRESSIONS
Solid and stocky, a workhorse in dragon guise. Slabs of fat softening up muscle grown under a hard day's work, giving her a deceptively soft look. She always seems to be smiling, humming a catchy tune, or making some other kind of noise. The air's electric around her, like she's just got so much energy it radiates off of her in waves.
RELATIONSHIPS
HARLING is The Boss. Anything Harling says goes, even if Kuti might complain about it at first. (That's more ceremony than heartfelt at this point, anyway.) Privately, Kuti idol-worships Harling and probably carries some kind of torch for her, to boot.
BEN had been fairly chewed-up and spat out by the world at large when Kuti found him. Being a big softy, she took him in at once. Kuti considers Ben her little brother, and will defend him viciously if need be. She doesn't always take the best care of him, mostly because she's not all that great at taking care of herself.
MAROUC is a fellow pearlcatcher with similar attitude, social circles, and interests; it was more or less destiny they would eventually cross paths. They hate each other, just a tiny bit, but only because they're both painfully aware of how similar they are (and they don't like it). The rare occasions when they're in cahoots usually end in disaster.
