Sothus's past only appears to him in broken fragments. Murky, foggy, misty, faraway dreams that he stumbles into, but only for a moment. When called upon by councils of the flights after his discover, he was made to atone and give insight. His knowledge was his worth alone. An ancient artifact of wars long past. A relic. A tool. In the end, to the flights, he was rendered almost useless. His knowledge corrupted and too far broken by his time in "amber". No amount of questioning nor questionable spells could give the council the results they wanted. So he was released of all of his original duties within the light flight. His home was stripped of him, his dignity, his purpose, his only known existences. Lost in a single moment, decided by a council much to removed from his plight.
In the end, not that much of anything he once remembered existed. Leaving him torn and in limbo. It was unfortunate for him that by the time the process was through, the Light Goddess herself would cause a great strife and cast out her own creations at the same time. Deeming them a problem and their removal her only solution. Sothus was now an outcast of time, flight, home, and even among his master and so he began to wander. Lost. Truly alone. Betrayed.

It is strange to him now to find this place, a modest flight that held home for beast kin, dragons, and now was homing more of his own kind as they sought refuge. His own interest piqued as a steady trickle of whispers followed Envoys into the lair. Of a new island unclaimed by any flight and the fire flights own internal fighting's. He also heard the sages and the other flight leaders here muttering about the horrors of the silent water deity. He felt at home here, but as he heard things building around them, he couldn't help but feel that his abilities would soon be required once more. If this time, for an entirely new cause.
