Cadbury

I just want a nice quiet life, as far as possible from the clan of my parents. I hail from the Sunbeam Ruins, the ancestral home of Pearlcatcher dragons, and also where my Light Flight parents reside.

The first few days of my life were glorious. I ate my eggshell, as is proper, and regurgitated the most beauteous pearl for myself. Everyone oohed and ahhed over it, and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. This beautiful pearl that I hold in my claws right now is that same pearl. I'll never let it go. Soon after, my parents gave me some chocolate to eat: my first real meal. I was astounded when I tasted it. "It tastes just like my egg!" I cried. I soon became the talk of the clan. Everyone thought it was hilarious that I thought my egg tasted like chocolate, and soon enough, I had been named Cadbury, after the chocolate egg candy. It's fitting, I suppose.

Once I became an adult, however, I realized things were not as perfect as they seemed. My parents had done a forbidden thing by having me. Both of them were in bonded pairs with other dragons. Myself and my 3 other siblings weren't supposed to exist. My step-parents eventually forgave my own, and the two bonded pairs went back to living separate lives, and my 3 siblings and I had to spend time with one parent or the other. Through it all, there was a lot of foul language that hurt my young ears, as well as the looks we would get from other dragons who knew of our scandalous birth. I hated it there. So one day, I left. I scooped up my precious pearl, and I flew away. Far away.

I don't plan on ever returning. I didn't come from a happy place. Here, with MotherBoard, I can make a life. She loves me, and I love her. We will have many children together. I just hope no one from my past comes calling. I haven't told this new clan about my messed up bloodline, because I don't want their cruel words, or their pity. I just want to be a regular dragon, living his regular life. I don't know what I would do if someone showed up here and upset that balance.
