A nervous Aeon entered the dark shop, looking around at the much larger cave than it appeared on the outside. His eyes landed on a Pearlcatcher sitting at the very center of the cave, something he hadn’t noticed at first. He’d heard tales of a Pearlcatcher who could peer into the future and the Ridgeback was perhaps the most worried about his future in his entire clan. The Pearlcatcher--Saoirse, he remembered-- beckoned him over with a wave of her hand. She had him sit opposite of her, looking directly at a lone crystal ball placed on a velvet covered table. Silently, Saoirse stared into the crystal ball, even closing her eyes at one point before they snapped open. Aeon was puzzled, though, since it seemed as if nothing had happened. The Pearlcatcher produced paper and ink from nowhere and started to scribble something down before handing it to Aeon.

“The dogs ate the wolf, fox!”

He frowned. None of it made sense. Aeon stood to leave, Saoirse not bothering to stop him. “What a waste of time…” He muttered as he tossed away the strip of paper and left the grinning Saoirse behind.
