Over the years, Duskfall had become increasingly agitated by the ever growing population occupying the giant tree that housed the colony he was born in. By the time he reached adulthood, he was convinced that the clan had maybe ten years or so before the gargantuan tree tumbled down the cliff it overlooked, as the number of dens multiplied exponentially every year. So, he left in search of something better, something his own. By chance, he came across a beautiful, silver Guardian carving a den for herself. After admiring her hard work from afar, he approached her with a fluttering heart, and stuttering monotone. He offered her his help in designing the stone structure for her small den. She admitted that she hadn't planned to stay there long because she was searching for her charge. Nonetheless, she took him up on the offer, and they bonded over similar interests and the fact that they were both Earth dragons. It didn't take long for the two to become mates after that. Their once small clan has grown immensely, and Rune and Duskfall even have great grandchildren now.

Duskfall is the one who introduced healing magic to the clan. After Rune and himself suffered some nasty wounds while defending their young daughters, he began to study the art of regeneration. Now, roughly one third of Clan Stone Remembrance is made up of healers. Duskfall taught most of these healers personally, and continues to teach new healers with the help of his daughter, Terra. The position of healer is one of great honor and those that hold the position are deeply respected and admired. Healers are given a reference, not only to hold their healing spells, but also to make known their honored positions.

Duskfall tries hard to understand other dragon breed's emotions and body language. He has made great progress, especially when it comes to Rune's feelings and mannerisms. He loves his mate and children above all else and considers Rougeheart to be his best friend. Although Duskfall and Rune co-run their clan and always make decisions together, their daughter Sunrise is really more of the clan leader than either of her parents, now that she's all grown up. Duskfall and Rune are both very supportive of Sunrise, and enjoy their semi-retirement.

Rune and Duskfall are like parents to many of the dragons that call their clan home.
