Glacio couldn't be a starker contrast to his diety, the Icewarden. His love of freedom and of sharing cultures is so contagious it could make even a Nature dragon love the Scarred Wasteland. He spends his days frolicking across the ocean with his best friend Maro flying overhead, ice forming beneath his feet with each leap, and his laughter ever-present off the coasts of Dragonhome. But though he's known for his upbeat personality, he can be very serious and mature beyond his years.

Born deaf, communication was made difficult for him, but his parents were a kind pair and learned how to sign with their hands and wings from other deaf dragons in the Icefields. While there still aren't many dragons who know sign, he's always eager to teach to those willing to learn. He was the one to teach his best friend Maro, who is now fluent in DSL (Dragon Sign Language), and teaches words in sign to everyone they meet.

Despite assumptions made about him, he is a well-trained and skilled warrior. So much so that he was appointed to the Rose Guard, keeping him in close quarters with Iris, one of the clan's kings, as well as any of their mates or children whenever they travel outside of clan territory. He also trains new recruits to the Guard, showing them the ropes, but also helping them to integrate, and feel like a welcome part of the Guard. His strangely warm presence helps them ease into the ranks and bond with the rest of the Guard like family.
