In Sid Steelspark’s highly regarded opinion, he is a one-of-a-kind dragon. In fact, he is the best dragon.

Now, you may be thinking ‘Wow, he sounds like a real jerk’. In most cases this would be true, but in the case of Mr. Steelspark, you would be wrong. He is the only dragon I’ve ever met that has mastered the art of balancing extremely lofty self-confidence with humility and modesty. Don’t ask me how; he just somehow manages to make it work. It’s probably magic.

This Nocturne was born with the name Sid. It suited him well enough as a young dragon and into adulthood. However, somewhere along the way of mastering his craft - he’s a technomage - he earned the nickname ‘Steelspark’. Whether fortunate or unfortunate, the name stuck. To some, he’s Sid Steelspark. To most, he’s just Steelspark or even plain old ‘Steel’ for short.

Anyway, enough about his name and back to the important stuff…

Like I said, Steelspark is a technomage. He was born a Light-aligned dragon but soon discovered he had an affinity for the Arcane. Mastering a little bit of both, he created a magic all his own. With some innate ability to wield Light, he’s extremely intelligent and destined to amass a great wealth of knowledge. He can use the properties of Light to heal, but he mostly just uses them to aid in his research. Arcane, on the other hand, allowed him to do the unexplainable. Enchantment is one of his specialities, but his real forte is for bringing things to life just to later make them go boom.

He founded Blunderblast Industries entirely on his own, giving himself the title Chief Founding Officer (CFO). He wears this title proudly, yet still manages to see his various associates as his creative equals when it comes to business. Since his venture into entrepreneurship began, his business has blossomed. He started small with little trinkets and gadgets - often explosives. Over time, he added an alchemist, an engineer, assemblers, and other inventive sorts to his staff. Business is now literally booming and the crew at Blunderblast rarely sees an idle day. They support a huge part of Seiyssrial’s economy, donating much of their income to ensure the clan’s coffers remain full.

Steelspark has also branched out immensely in his endeavors. A business that was founded on small things has grown to one that delights in the extraordinary. They now specialize in technological gizmos and gadgets, most prominent in their unique prosthetics that serve to mechanically enhance a dragon’s weaknesses. Whether you’ve lost a limb, have wings too weak to fly, or need a special set of armor - Blunderblast Industries will whip up exactly what you need.

In his spare time (ha! what’s that?), Steelspark enjoys stopping by the tailor’s shop to check out their latest offerings. He has a growing collection of scarves and bags - so large, in fact, that he’s filled an entire tunnel in his cave with them! He says he likes scarves because they’re attractive without being bulky (which seems an odd statement for one who wears scarves in many layers) and can be shifted to and fro so that they always cover whatever part of him needs protection. They also double as a towel or rag when he gets (gasp!) wet or grimy.

Fun Facts!
Steelspark’s favorite color is red. He wears as much red as he possibly can, proudly displaying scarves in more shades of red than one might think possible. You can always spot him coming from a mile away thanks to his crimson adornments!

Hates getting wet - especially on his face. Avoids swimming at all costs. Rumor has it he never actually washes his face, but instead shines it clean with an extra-soft scarf.
