From a young age, Burza was exceptionally strong. When the Bognseaks of The Swamp tried to teach him to See, they found that he could not, that he received the gift of strength instead. He was an outcast that did not belong, and he was too aggressive to stay in the swamp. They kicked him out of their classes and he spent his youth hunting down small creatures of the ooze. He took his time, maiming them and reveling in the fact that he caught them. He ate his prey, believing their strength and agility would be passed to him. This continued on until one of the Wildclaws, Deadnight, happened across him tearing his prey apart. She learned that he was useless as a Seer but strength better than most of her students, the Wildclaw offered him to join the warrior ranks as a trainee. Burza was eager to please the benevolent Wildclaw. He trained hard, specializing in a more barbarian fighting style. He enjoyed fighting so much he nearly offed quite a few of his peers. Every waking moment he fought or hunted, wanting nothing more than to become stronger. He hunted more strength; he needed to be able to overpower his enemy completely. He needed to become that which the other Bogsneaks could not belittle. One such way he tried this, was to take on the Ancient who joined the ranks. He once refused to fight him because of the upper-hand the Gaoler had, Magick. As the top student, he could challenge whoever he wanted. The fight began and both were equally strong. Being kind of heart but wanting to prove himself to the exceptional Bogsneak, Arpachshad used only a little magic. The match ended in a draw and a friendship grew between the two. Together, they trained and became rivals, each challenging the other to become stronger so that someday, they can go to battle as partners. |
