The leader of the Darkfeather Crow Flock, Lady Vulon Darkseeker, is a power hungry Eboncrow who was exiled from her former clan for lacking the traditional hypnotic magic of Eboncrows. Though she doesn't lack magic stored in her lesser eyes. Instead of hypnotic magic, her wing eyes hold powerful shadow magic, which makes her lesser eyes glow an eerie white like moonlight despite the lesser eyes of most members of the flock possessing deep red wing eyes.

After being exiled from her former clan, Vulon grew her abnormal powers until she reached Greater Eboncrow rank. From there she formed her own flock, rapidly expanding her territory and flock size both through peaceful negotiation and conquest. Her flock is now among the largest clans in the area and governed over by strict rules and divided into a complex social structure that some theorize is meant to throw off diplomatic visitors.

She is said to use any means necessary to hold onto her power, and is rumored to be deeply superstitious, even going so far as to keep two full Necromancers in the lower court. When addressing the concerns of visiting Diplomats, she does so in a room designed to intimidate those she is speaking to, which is hung with a large pair of pale pink star speckled wings, which hushed whispers in the Lower Court of Jackdaws say are from a Jackdaw who's wings Vulon had removed and then left to die, but no one has confirmed this rumor.

Rumors ❧
  • It's said that the rules and social structure of Darkfeather Flock are designed to purposely trip up diplomatic guests into saying or doing something that could be considered a diplomatic insult, so that Vulon can capture their territory through invasion without being challenged by neighboring clans or flocks.
  • A popular rumor about Vulon is that she earned the title of Darkseeker after tracking a drone deep into the Tangled Woods , and killing it in combat. Another part of this rumor says that the hip drape she wears is fashioned from the carapace of the drone she killed.
  • Vulon's flock grew unnaturally fast. It is said that some portion of the crows that helped this growth were hatched from stolen eggs.
  • Vulon values stealth in her clan over violence, this is likely why the Eboncrows hold the highest rank in her flock
  • Some hushed whispers speak of a kept group of deviant crows, marked by a pet Albino who Vulon uses to experiment on the jackdaws of her flock. This whispered rumor is rarely heard outside of Laslan Islands. and all who speak of it seem to meet a tragic end shortly after
