Huntress was born as a monster. Lost from an egg shes been alone all her life. She hatched all alone on the darkest night of the year deep in the caves of the plague lands. Her father had stolen her when he left the clan and her mother. What happened to him is a mystery. Because her egg did not receive any light or warmth Huntress had a birth defect. A rare but growing defect those of the plague lands were cursed with. Her eyes did not develop normally. Huntress spent her early life in the darkness of that cave hunting the small creatures that lived within it. Her special eyes allow her to hunt not by sight but by heat. As long as the creature is warm blooded no matters its size she can find it.

Because of the darkness of the cave Huntress relied more on her sense of smell as well, she can follow a trail even through water and up to several days old. She is a calm and patient hunter and will not give up until she catches her target. One day this brought her outside her cave and into the brightness of the sun. The young dragon was confused by the brightness around her. Out in the daylight her eyes adjusted from hunting by heat to seeing things as one normally would. She was so taken aback by everything around her she stopped to just look. She explored her new surroundings in wonder and awe. Prey out here was also bigger and more challenging. At first she struggled to adapt to this new way of hunting but soon managed to get the hang of it and found this new prey more challenging, but also more enjoyable to hunt.

During one hunting trip the young dragon came across a small dragon hatchling. She had never seen another dragon though so without knowing any better she attacked. Tiny although still just a hatchling in size was quick to put her in her place. The tiny mirrors beak was incredibly sharp and powerful. Huntress panicked as other dragons surrounded her. Although upset Tiny told the others to not attack her, instead they brought her as a prisoner to their leader. Talbot spent some time talking to her in his cave and realized the young dragons sad story. He introduced her to Caspian, another dragon in the clan with the same eyes as hers. As she and Caspian talked she realized that the clan was not food and apologized to the Tiny one she had attacked. Wanting to learn more about this new world she found herself in she asked to stay with them. Talbot agreed as long as certain rules were followed. The clan was not food, and stealing food was not ok. These were just some of the rules that she had to follow. Talbot also put her under the charge of Vae. Vae was also new to the clan and had spent several years learning the art of tracking and fighting. He would teach her how to put her Talents to use to better help and serve her clan.
