Oilspill loves bugs. From a young age, he's adored science, especially learning about the creepy crawlies. Nova and Royal, as well as his mother Periun, cultivated that love. They could always use another scientist! Katydid offered to take him on her hunts, and the pair quickly became fast friends, with Katydid helping him find the rarest bugs and listening to his excited babbling. When it comes to insects, Oilspill is focused and methodical, but when it comes to everything else, he bounces from topic to topic faster than others can follow. Katydid doesn't mind though. Of course, part of his job is feeding the insectivores of the group. At first, he and Katydid would catch insects in the wild, but he quickly established a method of captive breeding enough insects to sate their hunger. He also runs breeding programs for a number of endangered insects.
