Biography
Heehehehe... fish dragon
Charcoal rested quietly on the frosted beach of the enormous frozen lake. The dragon barely resembled the species he once was millennia ago. The magic of the sanctuary changed him long, long ago.
He opened his front eyes as he picked up vibrations in his fins and he sat up at seeing the heat signature of many dragons climbing down the narrow crevasse that served as the only entrance to the sacred place. Char raised up his spines and bared his teeth with a growl, his common tongue broken from unuse as he demanded with a rumbling hiss, “Who enters here?”
He was approached by a pair of Coatl who he growled at, “Step no further. Answer me. Who enters here?!” His hiss echoed with the creatures below the frozen surface of the lake showing glowing eyes through the black ice at the commotion.
The Queen spoke with a respectful nod of her head, “We are the Fractyl Lair, we have been removed from our home. I am Queen Oceana, and this is our King, Sir Princess. This is the only other place we could find to live…”
The mirror flattened down the spines of his fines but stayed on guard. She seemed shifty, but that could be for many reasons. He watched her and her mate a long silent moment, “Make no move near this lake and you may stay for now…”
Those words were the biggest mistake of his life…
They stayed there for months. He’d growled and prowl along the perimeter of the frosted beach to keep them away or from trying to settle too close to his ancient home and the powerful creatures within he’s always known as his friends. But before he knew it they had slipped a young Coatl passed him and within a week he was told to stand down by the lake priestess. He didn’t trust these outsiders. He hated that they manipulated his long time friends.
He couldn’t put his fins on it but there just wasn’t something right with those dragons…
