Amyca

Amyca wandered for years before finding some place she belonged. Having been abandoned as a hatchling, she had no home, no family, no name. Only when she found Azura's clan did she finally have a sense of belonging. Azura was like a mother to her, kind, patient and willing to teach what the young dragon wanted to learn. Azura and her mate, Alistair, gave her a home and a family. They gave her siblings and a safe environment to learn. But most of all, they gave her a name.

No matter how the other hatchlings acted around her, she was kind, always willing to settle disputes with peace over violence. She did her best to act amicably at all times. Azura knew that this wanderer was imitating and mimicking her own personality. And, when left along with the other young dragons, she would imitate them, as Nocturnes do. But her favourite to imitate was Azura, and it showed. More and more of her interactions became amicable as she drew more and more from her surrogate mother.

So they named her Amyca.

She grew into that name, and soon she was growing into more than just her name. She grew into the role Azura would leave in favour of hibernation. When Azura's son politely declined clan leader, Amyca stepped up. With all her experience imitating someone who had been nothing but kind, how could she go wrong?
